Raleigh Newborn Session | Baby Scarlett

I’m so excited to share more photos from this session with you! I had the sweet privilege of photographing little baby Scarlett just before she turned 1 month old! Matt and Rachel’s love for their new little one is so evident and it has been encouraging to watch them enter into this new season full of such grace. Their home was clearly a place where peace and love will flourish as their family grows! Baby Scarlett’s nursery was so beautiful and perfectly put together. Rachel had perfectly decorated the space with meaningful items that I know Scarlett will grow up to love. Everything in their home perfectly reflects their passions- instruments, antique books, and even artwork from Rachel’s childhood room.

When I first walked into their home, I knew their music room would definitely be a place we needed to photograph – the lighting was perfect and it looked amazing! As we were wrapping up our session, we headed into the music room to finish up photos just as Scarlett began to get a little fussy. For fun, Matt grabbed an instrument to start playing and singing to her and she actually seemed to love the music and started to calm down! I was squealing inside with joy for this sweet moment I got to capture and knew these would be my favorite photos from our session!
